Austin Wedding Photography

I love wedding photography more than anything else that I do, and it shows.  I’ve photographed weddings professionally and full-time since 2007. I’ve experienced hundreds of weddings, from enormous formal weddings to elopements with just myself, the officiant and the couple.  I’ve photographed weddings all over, from a mountainside in Montana to Voodoo Doughnuts on Sixth Street, from the free Chapel Dulcinea to the historic Driskill Hotel, from the beautiful Ladybird Johnson Wildflower Center to the glamorous Lakeway Resort and Spa.

I’ve photographed enough weddings to know things won’t go exactly as planned, ever, and to not let it phase me.  I’ll help keep you calm if things go awry, and will make sure we capture everything as it happens.

I show up early and stay late, and I work my butt off in between.  My goal is for you to barely know I’m there yet always be right where the action is.  I’m easy to get along with, and I tend to make people feel comfortable in front of the camera.

Wedding Photography as Unique as You Are

Just like snowflakes, fingerprints, and favorite taco joints, no two weddings or wedding photographers are the same. You’ve worked long and hard to make your wedding unique. Meaningful. Beautiful. I’m here to capture that. All the details. All the friends and family. And all the emotions of the day. I understand what makes your story one-of-a-kind and turn that into unforgettable images that truly capture the spirit of your relationship. I do that by developing a meaningful rapport with you. I seriously love my clients, and wedding photography is my passion.

Wedding Photos for a Lifetime

At the end of the day, all you’ll have left of your wedding are the photographs (and possibly some freezer-burned cake). You’ll revisit them on your first anniversary. And your second. And your fiftieth. And when your grandchildren and great-grandchildren ask what your wedding was like, you can show them. That’s why it’s so important to choose a photographer with the experience, talent, and knowledge to make certain that everything is captured. Beautifully. In addition, I want to ensure that everything I do lasts a lifetime. My archival prints are made to last 100 years (200 years in dark storage, but why would you want to hide them?). Point being, your photos will outlive you, just as they should.

What our Wedding Packages Include

At minimum, two photographers will be there to offer exceptional coverage of your special day. I carefully cull and edit your photos to perfection. Then you receive the digital images, with printing rights. That said, I highly encourage you to have archival prints or albums made. Wedding photographs aren’t made to be viewed on a phone or laptop. I’m proud to offer beautiful, archival, professionally-framed and matted prints, up to 30”x40”, and gorgeous wedding albums. So you can relive the day over and over again.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will there be two photographers?
With all my wedding collections, there will be two photographers to capture the day.  A-la-carte photography does not include a second photographer, but you’re welcome to add one if we decide it would be helpful.

Will I receive the digital images?
With most of my wedding collections, you’ll receive the full-resolution digital images with printing rights.  In collections where it isn’t included, the digital images may be purchased separately.
I can’t overemphasize, though, how important it is to have prints made.  Wedding photographs are made to be displayed, not hidden on a hard drive.  Not to mention, your hard drive will fail someday, taking everything with it.  And although I will store your photos indefinitely (in three different locations), I won’t be here to help when your great-grandchildren are trying to figure out how to hook up a thumb drive to whatever futuristic computer they’ll be using.

What happens if you’re sick on my wedding day?
This has never happened yet, and it would take a very extreme situation for me to miss a wedding.  If I’m hit with a worst-case scenario, though, my contract states that I’ll find another photographer of comparable skill and style to photograph your wedding.
